David, My fondest memory with you was when we were coming home from youth group one Wednesday night. You said," If it wasn't for you, I'd be going straight to hell." Although there are many family and friends that steered your way, your daddy and I are honored to have had a hand in your walk with Jesus. We stayed up all night this past week going through old VHS tapes finding your most precious moments as a child. From your homeschool talent show monologue, Scrooge, in the school Christmas play, and earning your belt in karate, together with Christmases, birthdays, and beach trips, all of which we'd be happy to show your mom, Josh, Francis, and each one of your children. We pray every night for you and Courtney that you would be the man and woman He created you to be. As your little sister, Sarah, would always say, "Corkydavie" as one was never without the other, we too never prayed for one without the other. The night and 2 nights before you graduated to Heaven, there was a prompting in my spirit to press in on your behalf. I prayed you would feel the love of Jesus and you would see yourself as He sees you. Now we know you do. Over the phone the other night, you made a point to tell daddy you wanted to be just like him. Earthly fathers are supposed to point the way to the Heavenly Father. It is our hope daddy did just that. Your daddy and I love you so very much! Make room in your mansion. You've got lots of family and friends that want to celebrate their homecoming with you one day. What a Father's Day you must be having with your Heavenly Father!
