Earl Ray Rutherford, Jr.

I met Earl at GTGC many years ago. It was always nice spending time with him, sharing many of the same passions together. Sorry to hear the news. He will.be missed.

I met Earl four years ago at the matches at GTGC, and I am deeply honored to be counted among his friends. He was, in a word, legendary. Though I will miss him dearly, I also know we will meet again.

I met Earl at the GTGC matches and always looked forward to seeing him. He was a straight shooter both in life and with a firearm. From what I found out, he was a soldier's soldier worthy of admiration. We had many good conversations and bonded because we are both vets. His presence at the range was a steadying and calming influence for me. I will miss his presence and his smile.

I didn’t know Mr. Earl that long but it was a special friendship. It’s amazing what you can learn from a person if you just listen. Mr. Earl was a world of knowledge most of the time you had to ask the question he didn’t give those secrets freely. I’ll miss our conversations at Lubys over lunch but we’ll have those conversations again someday.
